Eating seeds

However, you should not swallow everything at once; you need to divide them equally throughout the day. If you eat more than 5 pieces at a time, this may cause a malfunction in the gastrointestinal tract and will require new treatment for the problem that has arisen.
Viburnum juice
Viburnum juice is considered an effective remedy in the fight against kidney stones. To prepare it, you need to thoroughly wash, dry the berries and squeeze them without pressing hard on the skin, as it contains a lot of bitterness. The finished juice should be mixed with sugar in a 1:1 ratio and poured into glass jars. It is allowed to store the medicinal product in the refrigerator with the lid tightly closed. To preserve the juice for a long time, you should grind it with sugar to a jelly-like consistency.
You can also make boiled viburnum juice. To do this, wash 1 kg of berries, pour them with a liter of purified water and cook over low heat until the berries soften. Next, you need to squeeze out the juice and set it aside for a while to brew. Then add a glass of granulated sugar to the juice and heat it to a warm temperature so that the sugar dissolves faster. Finally, filter the sweetened juice and bring to 100 degrees Celsius.
Blood purifying tea for prevention

After the time has passed, add sage and celandine to the rosehip broth, leave to infuse in a warm place for 11 hours, then strain and pour in the ground viburnum with granulated sugar. Take the medicine 100 ml 3-4 times a day 60 minutes before meals for 3 weeks.
Blank
The plant prefers moist deciduous or pine forests with plenty of shade. It grows among bushes, along the water. Some gardeners grow it on their “acres”.
The bark is harvested in April, shortly after sap flow, and young shoots in early spring.
Flowers are collected from May to June, after full bloom.
The time to collect viburnum berries is in September and October. The fruits are cut off along with the stem to keep the soft part intact.
The most useful viburnum is collected after the first frost. The medicinal properties of berries caught by frost are maximum. Frost also reduces bitterness. To completely eliminate it, immerse the fruits in boiling water for a few minutes.
The collected berries are laid out in an even layer and dried in a cool, ventilated place for 5-9 days. The final removal of moisture is carried out in the oven at a temperature of +50C. Afterwards the leg can be removed.
Dried viburnum berries retain their beneficial and medicinal properties longer in clean linen or gauze bags in a dark, dry place.
Viburnum is useful if prepared in the following way:
- Fill a third of the clean jar with washed berries, pour granulated sugar to the top. The lid should not be tight.
After six months the product is ready.
Collection and storage of viburnum
You don’t have to buy viburnum at the market - you can collect it yourself outside the city. But it is important to know a few collection rules.
- You should definitely go for berries in the fall - ideally after the first frost. During this period, the berries taste best, and their benefits are maximum.
- It is not recommended to pick viburnum from the bush one berry at a time. It is necessary to cut off whole clusters of fruits - this way they will retain the greatest juiciness.
As for storing viburnum, the collected berries can be safely kept in the cold on the balcony or outside the window for 3-4 months - they will not spoil.
Viburnum juice
Simple recipe:
- Wash and dry the berries on a towel.
- Squeeze carefully, do not press too hard on the skins, as they give off bitterness.
- Mix the resulting juice with sugar in equal parts.
Place the finished product in glass jars. Store covered in the refrigerator. The longer you store viburnum juice, the less bitterness it contains.

Boiled viburnum juice:

Kalina berry – review
Hi all!
Viburnum is the berry that I remember from early childhood. It was not translated at our house, as my mother stored it for the winter. It grew in our dacha, and the harvests were excellent. And if our supplies ran out, we replenished them at the market. Grandmothers always sold this miracle berry from their hands.
Why do I call it a miracle berry , and what is so special about it?
Initially, I really liked its taste, or rather the taste of viburnum tea. Since childhood, this warming, beautiful drink with honey and sugar seemed like an incredible delicacy to me. And I remember that my dad also loved this tea very much and drank it constantly.
They gave it to me just like that, and when I was sick. And I was often sick - and my most problematic place in childhood was my throat. Severe tonsillitis was my vile companion for a very long time, and a chronically sore throat was terribly annoying.
I think everyone knows what viburnum looks like. These are red berries, which are usually plucked from the bush in twigs and tied into bunches. That's how it's sold.
The berries are quite dense, scarlet, and beautiful. There is a flat bone inside.
It is very reminiscent in shape...of a heart
Viburnum tastes sour-bitter, tart, and there is hardly anyone who likes to eat it in its “pure” form without sugar or honey. Viburnum is a tea berry. Of course, they also make alcohol tinctures from it, but I’m a layman here. I'm more and more into soft drinks.
Viburnum is used to make jam, add to pies and kvass. I also heard that it is added to sauerkraut, but more often instead of it I find cranberries in (store-bought) cabbage, not viburnum.
Where does it grow?
Viburnum is found in Ukraine, Russia, Japan, Mongolia and North America.
I’ll add on my own – it loves moisture and good, abundant watering. It does not grow in dry places, or it grows, but bears very little fruit, and the bushes are small and exhausted.
Viburnum is usually harvested at the end of autumn; I remember we collected it after the first frost - it is believed that such a berry contains all the most valuable and useful things. Stored it in the freezer. By the way, after freezing the berries are not so bitter. But the benefits are not lost.
I also know that viburnum is dried and then stored in bags and sprinkled with sugar in a jar, but we have never done this. We stored (and still store) in the freezer.
How is viburnum useful?
The fruits of the plant contain vitamins A and C, tannins, and pectins, which are important for effectively cleansing the intestines of accumulated harmful substances. The phytoncides included in the composition effectively destroy microbes .
Viburnum has an analgesic effect thanks to a glycoside that gives the berries a bitter taste. Microbes are killed by a substance called phytoncide.
The berries contain a lot of vitamin C, but besides it, there is also A, E, K, P. They contain many minerals: iron, selenium, phosphorus, potassium, manganese, calcium, chromium iodine.
There are also other elements: sugar, carotene, pectin, tannin, coumarin. The bark and leaves of the plant also do not lag behind in substances beneficial to the human body.
It is also known:
The fruits contain a lot of phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, iron, manganese, copper, and iodine. The leaves and berries contain acetic, valeric, oleic and formic acids.
The rich vitamin and mineral composition is especially useful for the prevention and elimination of loss of strength and vitamin deficiency.
Recipe for viburnum berries for bronchitis (tested from personal experience):
Heat 0.5 cups of honey over low heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon. Grind 2 tbsp. l. berries, pour hot honey over them. Wrap it well and let it brew for 5-6 hours. Take medicinal product 1 tbsp. l. 4-5 times a day.
For a sore throat, you can use a decoction of viburnum bark; I know that this method is popular. But we always used berries. The bark was never collected. Although the viburnum bushes at the dacha were very large, they grew and produced a good harvest. There were almost always enough berries for the whole winter, and we also treated our friends. But for some reason they didn’t collect the bark. Probably they were sorry, bushes.
Viburnum liver cleanser:
A simple healing remedy to cleanse the liver is prepared from viburnum berries and honey. Rinse half a kilo of fruits and cook in an enamel container until soft with the addition of a small amount of water. Then rub through a sieve and mix with 250g of honey. Take 2 tbsp. in the morning on an empty stomach and before bed for 14 days.
Viburnum berry remedy for blood:
To improve blood composition, it is useful to prepare a remedy from viburnum berries. Boil 1.5 cups of crushed rose hips in 1.5 liters of water for 10 minutes, 5 tsp. sage, leave for 8-10 hours, strain. Grind 1/2 cup of berries, 1/4 cup of sugar, add to the infusion.
I know that viburnum renews and cleanses the blood no worse than strawberries, of which it is recommended to eat about 10 kilograms during the season to renew the blood.
It is also useful to use it for such an unpleasant problem as cystitis .
You can drink it as tea from the berries, or you can make “viburnum juice.”
Viburnum juice can be prepared as follows: take 1 kilogram of viburnum berries, mash and squeeze out the juice. Add 1 cup of boiled hot water to the cake and cook for 1 hour, then drain the broth and mix it with juice.
Add sugar or honey to taste. The finished juice must be stored in the refrigerator.
Viburnum is a natural, powerful anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial agent, as well as a powerful antioxidant. This has been proven by many scientists, centuries of experience, and my personal one too.
If I don’t need to treat a throat, cold, etc., but just want delicious tea, I take viburnum berries and sprinkle them with a teaspoon of sugar. I grind it well in a mug to get the juice and pour boiling water over it all. You can use honey instead of sugar. Or you can do both.
The result is a very tasty, healthy, warming and aromatic drink. Some people don't like the smell of viburnum, but I'm not one of those people. I don’t associate it with anything nasty, but only with the berry itself and the aroma of nature. Since viburnum smells, only viburnum smells. That's all!
It’s very nice to freeze with such a mug of tea and watch the blinking garland on the Christmas tree, falling flakes of snow, the fire of a candle... or, as in my case, to warm up after the cold January rain, since there was almost no snow, and what was there quickly melted. There are puddles everywhere. And in general it seems that it is late October.
There are no frosts, there are no snowdrifts. Everything is shaky and impermanent... only hot tea with viburnum remains invariably beautiful throughout life. Just kidding. There is a lot of good, interesting things in the world, of course... But tea with this berry is better for me than mulled wine, better than coffee with liqueur, even better than a sandwich at night (which I love, but never allow myself to do sometimes).
Viburnum is a natural medicine, so it has not only beneficial properties, but also contraindications:
- Viburnum has the property of lowering blood pressure in people suffering from hypertension (high blood pressure), so it is not recommended for people with low blood pressure. If they want to recover from any ailments and strengthen the immune system, then they should take other medications and forget about viburnum.
- For many centuries, women have used viburnum decoction as a contraceptive. Therefore, those who are trying to conceive a child should not consume viburnum decoction during this period.
- Viburnum is not recommended for those who suffer from gout, high blood clotting, high stomach acidity and kidney stones.
You need to be careful in “receiving” it. And it’s better not to drink liters of viburnum tea out of habit. Start a little at a time.
Everything is fine with her, I have never felt unwell, nausea, or stomach pain. Although I have gastritis. But viburnum “goes” great.
Therefore, I strongly recommend viburnum to you!
It is tasty, healthy, affordable and natural!
From me she gets not 5, but one hundred and five stars!
Health and goodness to everyone!
Bye!

The benefits of viburnum in the fight against cystitis
Cystitis is a fairly common medical problem that a person faces in his life. This disease most often affects women after hypothermia, with urolithiasis and insufficient intimate hygiene. Cystitis also often occurs with frequent promiscuous sexual intercourse. This is due to the fact that during sex there is an exchange of microflora between partners and its adaptation to the human flora that is located on the mucous membranes and skin of the genital organs.
Cystitis can develop as a result of inflammation in the urethra
When in contact with different partners, the microflora that gets on the skin and mucous membranes often becomes pathogenic and causes an inflammatory process. The infectious process can spread upward into the urethra, and further into the bladder and first cause symptoms of urethritis, and then directly cystitis.

Bean pods are an excellent natural medicine not only for diabetes, but also for urolithiasis. A decoction of the pods has a diuretic effect and also alkalizes the urine and, therefore, increases the solubility of urate stones. It is only important to know that diuretic decoctions should be used with caution and under the supervision of a physician in order to avoid renal colic caused by the release of stones into the ureter.
Madder and knotweed are very strong remedies
Madder dissolves and removes oxalate and phosphate stones more effectively, but it also works on urate stones. To avoid damaging tooth enamel, you can take madder root powder 1 g (on the tip of a knife) three times a day, pure or in the form of a ball of powder mixed with butter, with 50-100 ml of sweetened warm boiled water. Madder can cause allergic reactions, and if the dose is exceeded, exacerbation of chronic inflammatory diseases. Madder preparations turn urine pink. If the urine turns brownish-red, you need to reduce the dose or temporarily stop taking the drug with it. Contraindications: gastric and duodenal ulcers, renal failure, glomerulonephritis, galactose and lactose intolerance. Knotweed (knotweed) is no less effective than madder. It dissolves and drives away even old stones with urine; oxalates are best. Three to four times a day before meals, drink 50-100 ml of infusion, preferably warm (1-1.5 tablespoons of dry herb per 1 tablespoon of boiling water, leave for 15 minutes, wrapped). For old or large stones, the course is at least a month. Contraindications: excess sputum; pregnancy (knotweed stimulates and enhances uterine contractions); acute inflammation of the kidneys and bladder - nephritis, pyelitis, cystitis (silicic acid contained in knotweed grass irritates the mucous membrane of the kidneys and urinary tract). Use very carefully for varicose veins, thrombophlebitis (knotweed increases blood clotting), hypotension (reduces blood pressure, although not sharply). It is not recommended to combine knotweed with onions and garlic. Occasionally, plant preparations can cause a rush of blood to the face, upset stomach with diarrhea.

The effect of viburnum on cystitis
Viburnum for cystitis is part of auxiliary symptomatic therapy. It is strictly forbidden to use it as the main means of treatment, since the antibacterial effect will not be sufficient to completely eliminate bacteria in the bladder cavity.
The diuretic effect is aimed at preventing the spread of infection towards the kidneys. Viburnum is a better remedy than synthetic diuretics.
Rarely leads to dehydration, it contains a number of microelements that restore losses caused by increased urination.
It is not recommended to use herbal diuretics during pregnancy. This is due to the fact that they put excessive stress on the kidneys, which causes nephropathy or eclampsia.
Antibacterial action helps speed up recovery. Viburnum cannot be used as an etiotropic treatment.
The anti-inflammatory effect in cystitis improves the condition of patients. Elimination of inflammation leads to normalization of urination, pain and burning sensation disappear.
Before you start using viburnum for treatment, consult a herbalist.
