In the article we will look at how quickly Canephron helps with urethritis in women and men.
The drug consists of a unique combination of centaury herb, lovage root and rosemary leaves. A variety of medications are offered for the treatment of urethritis, ranging from antibiotics to homeopathic pills. The drug "Canephron" serves as a drug intended for the treatment of such an ailment. This medication contains exclusively natural herbal ingredients, and it has a small number of contraindications and side effects compared to synthetic drugs. The drug "Canephron" for urethritis is available in two dosage forms.

The effect of this drug

Canephron contains four varieties of medicinal plants, presented in the form of extracts from rose hips, lovage, centaury, and rosemary. Thanks to the ingredients, the drug has the following therapeutic effects:

  • Diuretic effect. Essential oils, along with carboxylic acids in Canephron, improve renal blood supply, that is, glomerular filtration. This leads to an increase in the amount of urine produced. In addition, the reverse flow of sodium from the lumens of the tubules into the blood slows down and, as part of maintaining osmotic pressure, the flow of fluid in the urinary tract increases, thereby increasing urination.
  • The anti-inflammatory effect is due to rosemary and rose hips. Against this background, cellular stability and resistance to free radicals increases. The production of inflammatory mediators decreases.
  • Antimicrobial effect. The various oils included in the composition can have a detrimental effect on pathogenic bacteria, slowing down and destroying growth and reproduction.
  • Antispasmodic effect. Flavonoids with essential oils relieve spasms of smooth muscles, thereby reducing the severity of pain and swelling.

“Canephron” in case of urethritis destroys pathogens, and they are quickly eliminated due to increased diuresis, relieves inflammation from the tissue of the urinary system, and eliminates pain. In addition, the drug stimulates the excretion of urates along with urine. Thus, urolithiasis is prevented.

When is this medicine prescribed to patients?

Indications for the use of Canephron for urethritis are the following conditions:

  • The presence of urinary tract infection, that is, with pyelonephritis, cystitis, urethritis, pyelitis, asymptomatic bacteriuria.
  • Against the background of chronic kidney disease with glomerulonephritis, interstitial nephritis.
  • If it is necessary to prevent the formation of kidney stones among patients who are prone to urolithiasis, as well as against the background of an inflammatory disease and metabolic disorder.
  • The presence of edema, when it is caused by a malfunction of the kidneys due to chronic failure of this organ with fluid retention.

Features of pharmacological action

Canephron is a combination medicine of plant origin.

Has the following effects:

  • anti-inflammatory;
  • antispasmodic;
  • diuretic;
  • antimicrobial.

The drug is prescribed in cases of chronic cystitis, pyelonephritis, glomerulonephritis, chronic interstitial nephritis, for the prevention of urolithiasis. Prescribing a drug for urethritis is also advisable.

Contraindications

Despite the natural composition of the medicine, there are a number of conditions against which this medicine should not be taken. Contraindications for use are as follows:

  • The patient has a peptic ulcer during an exacerbation.
  • Factor of hypersensitivity to at least one of the components of the product.
  • Presence of lactose or fructose intolerance (this relates to pills).
  • Against the background of kidney failure, as well as in the case of edema caused by heart disease.
  • In childhood. It is worth noting that the pill form is not suitable for up to six years, and as for the solution, it cannot be used for up to one year.
  • If you are dependent on alcohol, a solution of this drug is prohibited, including periods after treatment for this condition.

The medicine in question in liquid form should be used carefully in the case of brain diseases, and, in addition, against the background of liver pathologies. Babies after a year can be treated with this medicine after consulting a doctor due to the presence of ethanol in the composition. In the practice of using Canephron, there were no examples of intoxication or overdose. This is a plant-based product. In addition, it does not affect the development of the child in any way, this is confirmed by doctors’ reviews. When prescribing Canephron during pregnancy and breastfeeding, doctors are guided only by general contraindications.

Why didn't Canephron help?

In some cases, people complain about the ineffectiveness of Canephron. This usually happens because the patient treats cystitis on his own. The main reasons for this situation are the following:

  • The patient does not drink enough fluid per day.
  • Cystitis is long-term and has become chronic.
  • Using the drug in incorrect doses, reducing the frequency of doses and duration of treatment.
  • After the signs of cystitis disappear, the patient does not take the drug, while doctors recommend taking the full course.

Therefore, there is no need to self-medicate. It is worth undergoing an examination at the clinic and treating cystitis comprehensively, following the doctor’s recommendations.

Release forms: tablets, drops (solution)

The drug called "Canephron" is produced in the form of a solution intended for oral administration. The instructions do not contain clear instructions on how to take this medicine: after food or before it. In this regard, the optimal time of treatment with the drug is discussed with the treating doctor individually.

Instructions for the treatment of cystitis

The drug is produced in two forms: dragees coated with a special coating and a solution for oral administration. The product is not available in tablet form.

Drops for cystitis "Canephron" are convenient to dose, and they are prescribed to children until they reach the age of five. The pill has its own advantages: it is easy to take.

Reviews from those who took the medicine

Information from specialists about the safety and effectiveness of this drug is confirmed by reviews of the treatment of cystitis with Canephron. If the therapeutic treatment regimen is followed correctly, side effects from taking it are extremely rare.

Pregnant women who got rid of the symptoms of cystitis with the help of Canephron note the absence of side effects during pregnancy itself and also after childbirth. Their reviews of the drug indicate its safety for both the mother and the fetus.

Negative reviews about this drug are based primarily on:

  • manifestations of allergic reactions while taking Canephron;
  • individual intolerance to the components of the drug.

Despite the fact that Canephron is available in pharmacies without a prescription, you should not decide on your own treatment with this herbal drug and use it without the instructions of a doctor.

Use during pregnancy

Experimental results do not prove the negative indirect or direct effect of this drug on the course of pregnancy or the occurrence of complications in the mother or baby. But, nevertheless, the experience of using Canephron during pregnancy is limited, and therefore its use should be avoided during this period.

Given the lack of experimental data on the ability of the active ingredients of the drug or its metabolites to pass into breast milk, a risk to infants cannot be excluded. In this regard, the drug should not be used independently (without the supervision of a doctor) during feeding.

"Canephron" for urethritis in men

Urethritis is an inflammatory disease of the urethra. It is caused by sexually transmitted diseases, bacterial, viral or fungal infections. Often, discomfort can occur due to mechanical damage to the urethra, the use of medications, or an allergic reaction. At first, this disease in men manifests itself in an acute form, which usually occurs a few days after direct infection. Patients experience pain with burning during urination.

Against the backdrop of all the negative symptoms, doctors often prescribe Canephron to representatives of the stronger sex for urethritis. This very popular antibacterial agent is used for urethritis of various natures. As you know, the medicine is produced in the form of coated tablets and in the form of a solution. It can have diuretic, analgesic, and disinfectant effects. No contraindications have been found for men; it is recommended to take the drug for two to three weeks as part of the treatment of urethritis, and after a break the course should be resumed.

Canephron for cystitis, urethritis and salts. Complex treatment.

Since childhood, salts have been periodically present in the kidneys. But 2 years ago, after surgery on the ovary, cystitis and urethritis were added to everything.

At the first sign of illness I always take this drug.

The last time, unfortunately, the exacerbation was too strong, and I couldn’t manage with Canephron alone.

That's why I bought Monural, Canephron and Cyston.

Because It is advised to drink Monural before bed, after emptying the bladder (and with such pain it is generally scary to go to the toilet), and until the evening the inflammation can only increase. To reduce inflammation, I took 2 tablets of Canephron, I drink it regardless of food, and Cyston (during a previous exacerbation, my doctor prescribed this to me). After taking these two medications (I took them at lunch), the inflammation subsided a little, the pain when going to the toilet decreased, and in general this became possible before taking Manural. Before going to bed, I took Monural, and didn’t go to the toilet until the morning. After the antibiotic in the morning, it became much easier, but I continued to take Canephron and Cyston, for the final removal of replenishment, in order to complete the treatment. Usually, after the disease has subsided, I drink it for 2-3 weeks, 1 t. 3 times a day, the annotation says 2t, but the doctors (already 2 different ones) prescribed me 1.

I also take it at the first sign of cystitis, sometimes it helps to do without antibiotics and relieves inflammation completely.

In addition to the action, I am also pleased with the composition based on herbal ingredients.

The only thing is that it is a little expensive - if you drink according to the instructions, the package will last for 10 days. Therefore, for a full course you need about three packages, the price will be about 1,500 rubles. But the drug is effective and I still buy it

Overall the medicine is good. I recommend!
