The fact that cystitis is the most common problem in urology is not news. What’s worse is that its acute clinical picture, according to scientists, is capable of taking on a relapsing form (RC) in 25% of patients, despite having completed the full course of medical therapy. Scientists are trying to solve this problem by prescribing Uro-Vax for cystitis, including it in a comprehensive treatment plan, or by monotherapy. What kind of drug is this, what are its features, the opinion of patients and doctors is the topic of our article.

About the drug

Infectious and inflammatory diseases today occupy an important place among urological pathologies. Women are especially susceptible to diseases of the urinary system.

Thus, the use of only antibacterial treatment is not enough; a complex effect is also required. It would be advisable to supplement therapy with a drug recently registered in Russia called UroVaxom, which actually acts as a means of etiopathogenetic elimination of urinary infections. This medication consists of 6 milligrams of bacterial lysates of eighteen different strains of E. coli, which are enclosed in gelatin capsules intended for daily use on an empty stomach once a day.

The most common genesis of the development of RC is uropathogenic strains of intestinal E. Coli, which account for up to 80% of the development of cystitis.
